Arusha is a fun city to explore, a fascinating urban complement to the thrills on offer elsewhere in northern Tanzania's safari parks. Here you'll get to experience lively streets, tasty local food, and busy markets and museums. More than anything else, it's a window into life in a provincial Tanzanian city.

Arusha National Park (Day 2)

It’s all about the scenery at Arusha National Park – marvel at Mt Meru and discover the lost world of Ngurdoto Crater. You’ll enjoy seeing zebras, buffaloes and giraffes as well.

Day 3

Tarangire National Park

Many travelers rate Tarangire among their favorite national parks anywhere in Tanzania. Here in Tarangire, you can look for lions, leopards, and cheetahs. But you won’t have to look hard to see baboons, vervet monkeys, wildebeest, giraffes, hippos, buffaloes and zebras. And you’ll come across elephants and baobabs everywhere, two giants of the African bush. Also an enjoyable part of your Tarangire experience will be the rolling savannah scenery, which includes rivers and low hills. And while it can get busy, crowds of cars will not be a problem here.

Explore fantastic Tarangire on a guided game drive that will take you out among the baobab trees to look for lions, elephants and more.

Acacia and other trees fill the property at Ngorongoro Forest Tented Lodge, which is halfway between Lake Manyara National Park and Ngorongoro Crater. Day 4 to 6

Central Serengeti National Park

There's nowhere in Tanzania where you have a better chance of seeing big cats than in the Central Serengeti. You'll also see lots of other animals as you explore the savannah grasslands and silhouetted acacia trees with us. This is the Serengeti's heartland and it is the most popular area of the park, but with very good reason.

Serengeti National Park (Day 4 & 6)

Expect big cats, elephants and giraffes in the Serengeti, and that’s just the start on a canvas of big-sky horizons, flat-topped acacias and beautiful grasslands.

Northern Serengeti National Park (Day 5)

You'll visit the Northern Serengeti where safari trails are generally quieter. Unlike further south, this is a world of rolling hills and light woodlands. Look for big cats and elephants along the banks of the Mara River.

All Day

You'll get to know Serengeti National Park in the best possible way on a guided game drive. Led by an expert guide, you'll drive out across the park's famous savannahs to look for the incredible wildlife (big cats, elephants and more) that calls the park home.

Activity Day 5

There's nothing that can compare to going on a guided game drive through the Northern Serengeti, where your guide will take you looking for wildlife amid the beautiful landscapes.

You'll be joining us in Serengeti National Park for a guided game drive. It's a fantastic opportunity to see some of the animals you came so far to see.

Day 7

Karatu

Enjoy quiet, little Karatu. Its busy main street is a window on urban life in a small provincial town, but it’s much quieter just a few blocks away from the main road. Shop, go to the bank or simply walk the streets – all are possible here.

Ngorongoro Crater

The day that awaits you in Ngorongoro Crater will be filled with wildlife and the sheer wonder of exploring an unusual world as picturesque as any safari park in Africa

Activity Day 7

All Day

Your guided game drive down into and around Ngorongoro Crater, is one of the best safari experiences you can have in East Africa. Watch for lions, hyenas, black rhinos and more as you spend most of the day exploring the crater floor.

Manyara's Secret

Surprisingly few of the lodges and camps that surround Lake Manyara National Park take advantage of the lake views, but Manyara's Secret makes up for that. In a special position on the eastern shore of the lake, this place has large, luxury villas, multiple swimming pools (some villas have their own), and terrific food. Get a massage, meet the local Maasai or simply soak up the views.

Day 8

Lake Manyara National Park

Where the plains of northern Tanzania meet the Rift Valley escarpment, Lake Manyara is a wonderful place to spend a safari day. Your highlights for the day might include getting up-close-and-personal with the elephants that made this park famous, lots of baboons, as well as one of few lion populations in Africa that spend much of their time in the trees. Between the forests at the foot of the escarpment and the lake that gives the park its name, enjoy rich birdlife and the chance of seeing predator ambush their prey.

Much as we'd like your tour with us to last forever, sadly today marks the end of your safari. Having shared so many wonderful experiences together, it's time to say goodbye and look back together on an amazing safari. We hope that you'll come back to travel with us again one day.
